Welcome to HELPING HANDS!

I've been thinking of a way that I could help some of our less fortunate brothers and sisters worldwide without having to wait to win the lottery or travel the world. It has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I often shared my lunch at school when I knew another student had none. I often shared my treats with the children of a poor family down my street. Sometimes, I'd sneak them apples or oranges that would often never get eaten by us anyway. I gave the younger ones my clothes when I grew out of them.

I continued to help throughout my adult life and I still do. My family and I give to food banks, the cancer society, the Salvation Army.......... and for many years, I would take a young girl or boy to buy what was necessary for them to enter high school, like school-bags, notebooks, pens, binders, and new clothes! The last few years, I haven't been able to give as much. I try my best to find the charity websites that invite visitors to "click" on an image or a link that gives either a food item, like a cup of rice, or clean water to a needy community. I have many friends across the web whom I know would love to help too. So, I want to make some available right here; as many as I can. Its just a moment of our time, once a day or once a week.....or whenever we can! There will be other non-profit charities posted as well, for those who want to make donations or become sponsors. I hope you can join us and  please let me know if you see an available link so that I could post it here! It will be greatly appreciated!!!
